Live @ Central

Guest artist Adrienne Woods will join the Fleur de Lis string orchestra Wednesday, January 27th at 6:30 PM for at concert in the sanctuary of Central United Methodist part of the Live @ Central Series.  The orchestra is comprised of the top young players from the Florence area and is conducted by Benjamin Woods and is directed by Sherry Woods.  The concert is free and open to the public.
Dinner is served at 5:30.  Adult $5.00 and Children $2.00.  Call for reservations 843-662-3218.

Fleur de Lis Strings Concert

There will be a free special concert of young soloists with orchestra at the Methodist Manor chapel Saturday, May 23rd at 3 pm. The Fleur de Lis Strings are the advanced students from the studio of Sherry Woods and will feature concertmaster Olivia Ouyang playing a Beethoven Romance and Schindler’s List, principal violist Neil Dey playing a Bruch Romanze, several students featured in a movement from the Bach Double Violin Concerto, Caroline Surrett playing a movement from a Haydn concerto, and  “little Mozart” Zak Chen playing a movement of a Mozart concerto. Neil Dey and Zachary Zhao will also perform the difficult Passacaglia by Handel/Halvorsen. This is the last concert of the season and one to enjoy immensely. Conductor Dr. Benjamin Woods will lead this gifted group.
