The Lake City Community Theatre will present the musical comedy Young Frankenstein Thursday March 10 through Saturday March 12 at 7:30pm and Sunday March 13 at 3pm at the Blanding Street Auditorium, 125 S. Blanding Street in Lake City.Tickets for Young Frankenstein will go on sale on Monday February 29 at The Greater Lake City Chamber of Commerce, 843-374-8611, during regular business hours. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for ages 18 and under. All seats are reserved.Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan wrote the book, music and lyrics are by Mel Brooks.Young Frankenstein follows bright young Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Josh Adams) after he inherits his grandfather’s castle in Transylvania as he attempts to complete his grandfathers’s experiment and bring a corpse back to life. The monster is played by Kevin Buchanan, Amy Lee Kirby plays Elizabeth, Ashley Adams is Inga, Faith Godwin is Frau Blucher with Janet Hicks as Inspector Kemp. Rob Bochman is Count Dracula and Mac Hicks plays Igor.Young Frankenstein is directed by Kristi McIntyre, Teaching Associate, Department of Theatre, Coastal Carolina University, Conway S.C. The choreographer is Betty Frances Stone. Musical director is J. Cliff Gardner.
