Clay Play (Hand building as a therapeutic tool)

Clay Play Class (A therapeutic tool)
Fridays at 6:00 pm
Clay has the ability to be malleable, stiff, hard, and easily characterized. A person is able to model, touch, feel, roll, and even pound on clay. Clay is therefore a fantastic therapeutic tool. Black Creek Arts is offering a Clay Play Class, which entails students creating a form in a multitude of ways all of which involve physically working with clay in a stress relieving fashion. This is a beginner class, suitable for any one interested in beginning to use creative techniques to relieve stress and find peace. The class will focus on the publics need to eliminate all negative thoughts whilst using their hands to create a ceramic form. What a student creates is his or her own art work, the making of the art is what the class will focus on.
