ART ON MARKET, is an evening of art, music and food, will be presented by the Cheraw Arts Commission. The free event will feature visual art, photography and fine crafts. Artists will be providing demonstrations and selling their creations at businesses and venues along Market and Second Streets. Farmers from the Cheraw’s Farmer Market will have local produce available for purchase near the Centennial Park area on the corner of Market and Second Streets. Attendees can dine at their favorite restaurant that evening.
Featured artists and craftsman include metal jewelry artists, visual artists, and a wood carver. The Bow-Tie Lady from Hartsville will create fashionable bow ties from recycled men’s ties. Lois Lavery of Virginia will feature hand painted glasses, while ceramic artist Grace Jennings of Charleston will offer participants an opportunity to create painted pottery art.
Maps with designated venues and artists will be available at Market Hall. Balloons will be placed at participating businesses.
